Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide our students and families with a developmentally appropriate environment which meets each child's unique educational requirements. Parents are recognized as the child's first and most important teacher. The teachers and staff are supportive of parents and families and involve parents in goal setting for children. Honoring and respecting diversity of all families is a strong value.  Young children learn best in an environment where they can explore on their own with activities that interest them, as they are actively engaged in the learning and have a voice and opportunity to act on ideas and objects in their environment.

With teacher support, encouragement, and positive attitudes, young children can learn at their highest ability. Teachers are knowledgeable and informed about young children, capable of engaging them intellectually as well as emotionally, physically, and socially. The staff, in turn, is engaged intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially by the children.
